Powders realized by Biocetis answer at European norm 13776-3, NF-ISO13779, ASTM1185-03 and ASTM1088a, this norm permit to guarantee the product for a medical use. it’s possible to influence, during the production, on grain size, specific surface and the chemical composition (% of HA and β-TCP). Biocetis use a procedure pf synthesis by precipitation in aqueous way, for product fabrication.

The synthesis of

calcium phosphate powders

The synthesis of calcium phosphate powders is carried out by liquid route, this technique is the result of a technology transfer contract from the Maubeuge LMCPA.

The reaction consists in mixing phosphate and calcium within a double-walled reactor. By controlling the reaction and parameters, we obtain powders of hydroxyapatite and / or tricalcium phosphate in the β-form.

After heating treatment and grinding, these powders can be used for the manufacture of bone substitutes, sandblast media, 3D printing, etc.

Our high purity powders meet the standards in force, and densify to more than 95%.

Validation of our manufacturing processes and biocompatibility study were conducted and validated for use in the medical community.
